The nuclear accident in Fukushima in Japan in 2011 did not change the basic situation of China''s nuclear power development. Over the past six years, 24 nuclear power plants have been put into operation and 15 nuclear power plants have started construction. The second generation to the third generation are now being realized. Driven by nuclear power, nuclear power equipment manufacturing, engineering design and construction capabilities continue to improve uranium resources, nuclear fuel support capacity increased significantly, nuclear power "going out" initial success. Before 2030 is a strategic period for the development of nuclear power in our country, but it faces many challenges in the near future as well. It is estimated that the "13th Five-Year Plan" will be the five years when China will put into operation a nuclear power generating unit and the number of newly-built nuclear power generating units will be the second largest nuclear power in the world after the United States and will realize the transformation and upgrading of the second generation technology to the third generation technology, and it is lying a solid foundation for building a world power of nuclear power. |
